Ask parents to name a topic they most fear discussing with their children but know they should, and sex is probably at, or near, the top of the list. Long gone are the days when kids had to wait for “the talk” with their parents to learn about sex, or even talk to their friends about it. Now, the internet will provide whatever information, and videos, they want to see. Often more detail than they actually wanted. How is this easy access to not just online sexual information but online pornography shaping their views about sex and sexual relationships? Jenn Pollitt

Jenn Pollitt, PhD, is the Assistant Director of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies and an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Temple University. With over 15 years of experience as a sexuality educator, Dr. Pollitt has developed and taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Men & Masculinities, Sexuality and Disability, Porn Literacy, Sexuality Education, and Pleasure.
