On December 3rd, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., five students presented their capstone projects for the Certificate in Children’s Media in Tuttleman Hall, Room 305B. Eleanor Erdley, Cadence Webb, Kyle Lapsley, Delia Joyce, and Ollie Gomez each applied the skills and knowledge they gained throughout the certificate program to create innovative projects. From immersive campaigns and podcasts to animated series, television shows, and interactive live events, their was a diverse group of capstones projects.
Disney Jr. 15
Eleanor Erdley (ADV) focused her capstone on celebrating Disney Junior’s 15th anniversary through a campaign that connects parents’ nostalgia with interactive experiences for kids. She explored how a milestone event could engage families in meaningful ways, creating a traveling museum exhibit, social media content, press materials, and a full brand strategy. Eleanor’s project highlights the power of immersive storytelling and creative marketing to make an anniversary memorable for both children and their families.


Christmas, Children, And Cinema: Podcast
Cadence Webb (MSP) presented her capstone on the impact of Christmas movies on children, looking at why these films resonate with young audiences and how they help shape values and identity. Her 21-minute podcast explores the role of holiday films in creating family traditions and offers insights for parents of young children. Cadence’s project highlights how media can be both entertaining and meaningful, showing the ways storytelling can support childhood development and strengthen family connections.
Marathon
Kyle Lapsley (MSP) created a TV show, Marathon, as part of his capstone presentation. It is a 26-episode series that inspires children to stay active while exploring personal growth through running. Each episode pairs a young runner with a celebrity guest, combining conversation, running tips, and reflections on the experience. Kyle’s project demonstrates how media can motivate healthy habits, build confidence, and showcase positive role models for young audiences.


The Kid Stage Philly
Delia Joyce (MSP) presented her capstone on The Kid Stage, a family-friendly festival designed to combine music and immersive media experiences. The event features kid-friendly artists alongside innovative festival zones, including sensory-friendly areas, an augmented reality educational experience, and opportunities for children to create videos with DJ Rhythm Rabbit. Delia’s project demonstrates how creativity and technology can come together to make live events exciting, engaging, and accessible for kids and families.
Note to Self!
Ollie Gomez (MSP) presented her capstone on Note to Self!, an 11-episode animated comedy series for kids ages 10–12 that blends music, humor, and the unpredictable chaos of middle school. The series follows an awkward new cellist and a mischievous ghost pianist whose unlikely friendship shakes up Rhythm Ridge Middle School’s music wing. Ollie’s capstone showcases how animation and music can create fun, engaging stories that celebrate creativity, friendship, belonging, and a sense of community.
