Join us in Greece in Summer 2019 for the International Media Summer Academy!
Today, accurate information is an increasingly critical resource for our understanding of the world.
Building on the success of the 2018 Summer School, we are looking forward to welcoming another
group of participants from all over the world to Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy in July of 2019.
This past year, the Academy focused on new trends on media and journalism with emphasis on how to
deal with disinformation, fake news and verification techniques and how to acquire the competences
needed. Plans are underway for Summer 2019, but information from the 2018 Academy can be seen below.

Thessaloniki International Media Summer Academy aims to host a total number of 40 selected junior
scholars, researchers or practitioners, having the following background:
- Bachelor/ Master/ PhD Students of Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, etc
- Professionals from media and other related organisations who need a deeper understanding on the
issues to be addressed.
