Online International Children’s Film Festival TAKORAMA

May 11, 2021

As a member of the UNESCO MIL Alliance, the CMIL is proud to serve as the US partner for the Online International Children’s Film Festival TAKORAMA.

The objective of the festival is to offer children original short films on the theme of solidarity in a free and educational context. Each short film is accompanied by a pedagogical sheet. After watching the short films, each child gives his/her opinion and votes for his/her favorite film.
More than 220,000 children from 50 countries are already participating in 2021! The festival website is in 20 languages, including English.

The festival provides an amazing array of films for children ages 3-10, completely free of charge and without advertising. The festival is under the patronage of UNESCO. The festival is open to teachers, parents, caregivers and children. Other cultural institutions (libraries, etc.) and social institutions (nursing homes, hospitals) can also register children.

The festival is open from March 1 to June 25, 2021.

The festival consists of 15 animated short silent films (without words but with music and sounds).
We hope you will take the time to view these films with the children in your life! Enjoy!
