What is CMPoP?
CMPoP was founded in June 2023 by Kaz Long & Sherri Hope-Culver with the purpose of fostering a community of children’s media professionals in the local Philly area. We recognized that there were many of us around but lacked a space to gather! As of March 2024, we have 50 CMPoP participants on the event email list, and our community continues to grow. CMPoP is not an affiliate of CMA
Organizer Role Overview
Position Title: Volunteer Organizer
About The Role:
This is primarily an event planning and communications role. CMPoP organizers collaborate with Sherri Hope-Culver to:
- Plan Events
- Identify potential locations for CMPoP events.
- Connect with and coordinate guest speakers.
- Finalize event details, including date, time, and theme.
- Manage RSVP forms for events, tracking attendee numbers and preferences.
- Promote/Grow CMPoP Community
- Create and design graphic flyers to promote events.
- Send out email announcements to the CMPoP distribution list.
- Use social media platforms, including LinkedIn, to share event announcements and engage with members.
