On this show we’ve talked about how media affects children and youth on just about every episode. We’ve had experts share their concerns regarding youth and violent video games or social media pranks or explicit lyrics. But who knows the answers to those questions better than youth themselves. So, on this episode of Media Inside Out, three high school students joined us to share what THEY think about media in their lives. We talked about their favorite social media, favorite apps and video games, the latest TikTok craze or about-to-be-famous Influencer. We talked about how they’re using A.I. and how much they consider it a positive or negative influence on their learning in school or their personal life. Do they watch news? Do they worry about privacy of their data? What are the topics that come to the forefront when they think about media? Complicated? Convenience? Critical? All of the above? Together, we explored what it means to live a media rich life today as a teen. Let’s go inside!
