Oct 27, 2026

The Center for Media and Information Literacy is excited to announce our first satellite hub in Tokyo at Temple University’s Japan campus! Overseen by Matt Blomberg. This satellite hub will operate under the same mission and strategy as the main CMIL hub in Philadelphia. Through research, strategy, and public engagement, the CMIL serves as a central point for media and information literacy throughout Temple University, including the Japan campus.

Matt Blomberg is an assistant professor of communication and Journalism at Temple University Japan. His academic research centers around misinformation and analysis of media literacy’s effectiveness following interventions, when applied with critical news and other various users consuming information through media.
