The event is sponsored by the Children’s Media Association, National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE), and Fordham’s Department of Communication & Media Studies. This will be an interactive and collaborative workshop on the next generation of entertainers – Kidfluencers! School-aged content creators and internet influencers have become increasingly popular amongst youth and their families, aided by the rise of fast-evolving internet tools such as YouTube, Instagram, and Tik Tok. What audiences are consuming these new media? What ethical issues regarding privacy, safety, and product promotion are at play?
