Join the Center for Media and Information Literacy at Temple University for the third Children’s Media Career Symposium. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the Klein College of Media and Communication, one of the top communication’s schools in the USA.
The event is geared to students and alumni interested in working in children’s media.
If you are considering a career in media or a career focused on children, this event is an opportunity to learn about the industry first hand, from the content creators, marketers, researchers and executives making the decisions.
The children’s media industry includes long-standing networks, such as Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, as well as new content from Netflix Kids and Amazon Originals for Kids. Video game and app developers such as Toca Boca and Sesame Workshop are creating games specifically for a child user.
The evening will include panel discussions and networking time. Two panels of children’s media professionals will discuss trends in children’s media and career opportunities within the industry, while sharing real-world experiences and advice with attendees.
Attendance is limited to 100.
Past speakers included leaders from PBS Kids, Dubit International, Hispanic Information & Telecommunications Network, Tinkercast. Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Wonder Why, Big Bad Boo studios and the Children’s Media Association.
Light refreshments will be served.
